A partnership for animal welfare

Shared spaces
for second chances.

Meowhaus builds cat-conducive enclosures inside cafés and commercial spaces, giving rescued, adoptable cats daily exposure to the people who might take them home.

Why we're doing this

Stray overpopulation is a nationwide crisis in the Philippines

Across the board, the local animal welfare community is struggling with the same broken variable: adoption.

13M
reported stray animals across the country
<1%
of impounded animals get adopted from city pounds
33/135

The hidden cost

Every month a cat isn't adopted, someone is quietly paying for it.

₱2,172
median monthly cost to keep one cat fed, housed, and healthy
11%
mean monthly adoption rate across surveyed rescuers
2 of 5
rescuers have zero adoptions in an average month

How it's done

Three parties, one simple arrangement

1
Venue Partner

Cafés and commercial spaces with cat-conducive environments host a cat enclosure on their premises.

→
2
Meowhaus

We build the enclosure and facilitate the collaboration between the venue partner and the animal welfare org.

→
3
AW Org

Animal welfare organizations rent the enclosure monthly to showcase their resident adoptable cats.

Who we look for

The right space, the right org

We're as selective about the spaces we enter as we are about the cats we bring in.

The right venue partner

  • Established fanbase and steady foot traffic — or clear room to grow it
  • Progressive ownership, open to trying something new
  • Climate-controlled indoor space with air conditioning
  • A calm, low-stimulation atmosphere — soft lighting, quiet music
  • Consistent ambience day to night, not a café-by-day, bar-by-night flip
  • A tame, family-friendly customer base

The right AW org

  • A high rescue cat base with a low adoption rate — the orgs that need this most
  • Cats that are vaccinated, neutered, litter-trained, and genuinely adoptable
  • A good reputation for responsible rescuing
What's in it for you

Built for both sides of the partnership

The benefit runs one direction: toward you.

A unique reason to visit

Cat-lovers and curious passersby alike are drawn to this novel attraction over other cafes nearby.

Organic, customer-generated content

Customers photograph and share the cats without prompting, generating organic social content other cafes would otherwise pay influencers for.

No new operational burden

Meowhaus handles upkeep and liability protocols, while the AW org handles feeding, cleaning, and vet care. Your staff responsibilities remain unchanged.

Built-in CSR story

Advocacy is attractive. Using your space to help animals sends a message of business with a heart.

Adoption was once a hard sell. Now it's only a matter of time.

Steady exposure to a large audience

The cats' constant presence in a relaxed setting converts passive foot traffic into potential adopters.

A professional space at fractional cost

A fully furnished enclosure with air filtration and CCTV, plus administrative services, provided at lower cost than standard commercial options.

Additional fundraising channel

The space supports donation drives and merch sales, providing a secondary revenue stream to counterbalance shelter and adoption costs.

Reduced per-cat holding cost

Every unadopted cat is a monthly cost burden. A faster turnover means fewer cats to pay for.

The cattery

Purpose-built, not improvised

The cat enclosure is designed and crafted in-house, to fully meet the commercial needs of the space while remaining perfectly safe and cozy for its resident cats.

📦 Compact, not cramped 🌬️ Odor-controlled 🔒 Fully enclosed and cat-proof 💧 Water and stain-resistant finish 📹 24/7 CCTV 🧩 Modular pre-fabrication

Your space, your specs

Every enclosure ships with a storage cabinet, small and large nap areas, a litterbox, a scratching post, and climbing shelves, sized to the space.

Built-in safeguards

Serious benefits, protection for all parties

Veterinary care and oversight

Cats are vaccinated, neutered, and under the AW org's ongoing veterinary care before and during placement. Medical decisions remain the responsibility of the AW org, per its own protocols.

Cleanliness and odor control

The enclosure includes odor-control systems and a defined cleaning schedule managed by the AW org, with 24/7 CCTV providing the venue visibility into upkeep at any time.

Customer safety and liability

The cattery is fully enclosed, requiring no direct customer contact with the cats. Incidents are covered under Meowhaus's liability arrangements.
